Wharton School Revealed The Launch Of An Online Course “Business in the Metaverse Economy”

The Wharton School, world's leading business school of the University of Pennsylvania, declared the release of a new, six-week course related to business in the metaverse including topics like VR technologies and blockchain-based worlds like The Sandbox and Decentraland. The online course, titled 'Business in the Metaverse Economy' intends to educate students about metaverse business practices, giving participants first-hand interactive experiences in virtual spaces. The programme will be launched in collaboration with Prysm Group , a famous economic consulting firm specializing in upcoming technologies.

The aim of the course is to provide business professionals a better understanding of opportunities in metaverse economy and better tools to address issues in it, said the program's academic director Kevin Werbach in a release.

The move to the Web3 theme makes Wharton the initial Ivy League business school to launch a  program on metaverse tech. The Business in the Metaverse Economy course is initially open for limited registration Its first group will start on September 12, 2022.
