Beeple’s digital art studio opens with Christie’s support

Record-breaking NFT artist, Beeple, celebrated the grand opening of his digital art studio, Beeple Studios. Supported by Christies, the famous auction house where his NFT “Everydays: The First 5,000 Days” sold for $69.3 million, the studio aims to showcase creators’ art and foster a community.

Live “everydays” performance

During the grand opening night, Beeple, also known as Mike Winkelmann, conducted a live ‘everydays’ performance. He created 50 Everyday ‘artifacts’ and an artwork called “The Long Road.” As each piece was completed, Beeple activated hidden ceiling printers, which rained down artworks on the amazed guests.

Each digital print featured a yellow border and a “valuable red dot,” indicating the possibility of exchange for an NFT at a later date. Beeple then posted “The Long Road” on his Twitter account at midnight, completing his latest installment of Everydays. The NFT for “The Long Road” was added to his classic collection, BEEPLE:EVERYDAYS.

The opening event also showcased various artworks from other NFT artists, including Fvckrender, XCopy, Pak, Victor Duarte, Refik Anadol, and more. These pieces adorned the walls, providing attendees with a diverse display of creativity. Beeple explained his motivation for opening the studio, stating, “We wanted to build a space where we could program multiple different types of artist showcases and experimental community events.”

Currently, Beeple Studios is not open to the public. However, interested individuals can register for a chance to visit the art gallery in the future. Beeple’s initiative to create a space for artists to connect and experiment is seen as a significant step in promoting NFT art and its community.

Beeple has been making waves in the art world

Earlier this month, Beeple celebrated the grand opening of his new art gallery on Daniel Island, Charleston. He has constructed a 50,000-square-foot digital art facility called Beeple Studios, with support from the famous auction house Christie’s. The event showcased works from prominent NFT artists such as Fvckrender, XCopy, Pak, Victor Duarte, and Refik Anadol.

Beeple Studios serves as more than just a gallery; it aims to foster community engagement and deeper discussions around art. The 13,000-square-foot immersive facility will host various events to encourage creative collaboration. According to the Beeple Studios website, the goal is to “create a space where we could program multiple different types of artist showcases and experimental community events.”

Beeple has made a significant impact on the NFT market. He rose to fame after debuting on the online art auction site Nifty Gateway in December 2021, selling over $3.5 million worth of artwork in a single weekend. His most famous piece, “Everydays: The First 5000 Days,” sold for $69.3 million, making it the most expensive NFT ever sold to an individual buyer. The artwork is a compilation of pieces created by the artist every day for 5,000
consecutive days.

Beeple Studios: A game-changer for NFT art

Beeple’s grand opening of Beeple Studios marks a new chapter in the world of NFT art. By providing a platform for creators to showcase their
work and connect with others, the studio is set to become a hub for artistic innovation. With a memorable live performance, Beeple continues to push the boundaries of digital art, encouraging more creators to explore the potential of NFTs.

As Beeple Studios eventually opens its doors to the public, art enthusiasts worldwide eagerly await the opportunity to experience this cutting-edge space for themselves.
