WWE Signs a Deal with Fanatics’ Candy Digital to Launch NFTs
The WWE has signed a deal with Fanatics, the sports platform to design and release trading card NFTs. This will be done by candy Digital, which is Fanatics digital collectibles firm. The NFT trading cards will promote a few great wrestlers and some of the greatest moments of WWE.
NFTs are distinctive tokens that exist on a blockchain, like Ethereum or Solana. However, it is more probable that WWE will start making NFTs at the end of this year.
Candy digital will supervise the creative process and technical details of the project. Trading cards will present the Topps logo, which is also the card brand of Fanatics. WWE is not the first one to get into NFTs.
Previously, NFL superstar Tom Brady has come out with a few NFTs for some sportsmen through his platform known as Autograph.
NFTs as digital cards are also becoming popular with musicians as well. Recently, Warner Music Group announced its incoming partnership with blockchain card game Splinterlands.
