Minecraft has banned NFTs and blockchain integrations from its game. The Microsoft-owned gaming platform said Wednesday the decision was taken “to ensure Minecraft players have a safe and inclusive experience.”

The announcement instantly sent the native token of NFT Worlds plunging, falling more than 70%. Twitter saw mixed reactions— from fans of the game celebrating the news, while the NFT community was left in confusion.
Following the statement, owners of a popular collection “NFT Worlds” saw their collection fall to less than a third of its price in just an hour.
