Meta has announced that it is ready to take a cut of 47.5% on virtual asset sales
Meta which is the founder company of facebook has decided to take a cut of 47.5% on every sale that is concluded at metaverse on its platform known as Horizon Worlds. This cut is the sum of 30% hardware platform fee for the sales done at MetaQuest store which is a virtual store for metaverse app and games and 17.5% fee payment which is charged for the utilization of Horizon Worlds.
The NFT community has expressed frustration over this decision on twitter and other social media apps. One Twitter user had this to say.

Horizon Worlds, which is the new name of Facebook Horizon, is basically a virtual reality video game at which people can have the potential to create and analyze virtual universes.
It is interesting that Meta’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg had stated that it will support metaverse creators to skip Apple’s app store fee but now meta is planning to charge even higher fees as compared to apple.
