NFT collectors and creators will be able to display their token on instagram very soon. Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that the company is testing NFTs, which will be coming soon to Facebook. Instagram head said in a video message that a small group of users from the US will be able to display NFTs on their feed, stories and in messages. Digital collectibles are the products with NFT details displayed and tagged, clicking on the tag will display the name of the owner and creator.
Mosseri brings up tension between large companies like instagram and web3 through this small test by bringing up NFTs. Mosseri adds that NFTs and blockchain technologies and web3 are about distributing trust but tension in instagram is due to its centralization, instagram can introduce this technology to new people, Icon of NFTs appears as hexagon in the corner of instagram posts.

Twitter introduced NFTs as hexagon-shaped profile pictures. Christine Pai, Meta spokesperson said NFTs minted on ethereum and Polygon blockchains will be initially supported with Solana and Flow coming soon. Though celebrities and companies have been quick to jump on NFTs , the Wall street journal said that the sales have decreased since a peak last September.
