Grand Theft Auto GTA 6 To Include A Cryptocurrency Rewards System

Reports are there that Grand Theft Auto 6 could introduce a cryptocurrency in its gameplay. Recent leaks claim GTA 6 will have an in-game cryptocurrency for players to earn and trade. Although nothing has been officially confirmed, a leak from within Rockstar Games has created rumours that GTA 6 will have an in-game cryptocurrency.  

The Grand Theft Auto series has always been much ahead of its time. GTA San Andreas, released in 2004, is still considered innovative and futuristic even two decades later. The game displayed flying jetpacks and various other elements that are technologically advanced even today.

Rockstar Games introduced the stock market in Grand Theft Auto 4 in 2008, named The Liberty City Stock Exchange (LCSE). The LCSE was located in ‘The Exchange, Algonquin’ area, but the building was inaccessible to the player. The LCSE building had no role in the storyline but just existed on the map with the price ticker moving.

However, things changed after GTA 5 was released in 2013, as Rockstar Games allowed players into the world of stock markets. Players could access BAWSAQ and LCN Exchange through the internet connection on their smartphone, and users could buy and sell stocks according to their will and have gameplay involving the stock market.

Gamers could make money in the ‘Stock Market Assassination Missions‘ issued by Lester. A few lucky ones even made $2 billion in the game by manipulating the stock market.
