Fox executives say they will invest $100 million in a new set of NFT-based experimental TV shows. To start this new episode, Fox brought in “Rick and Morty” co-creator Dan Harmon to create an NFT show named “Krapopolis”. Fox officially unveiled its new animated show “Krapopolis” ahead of its Upfront presentation on Monday, referring to the show as the “first-ever animated series curated entirely on the blockchain.”
Fox’s New blockchain Creative Laboratories (BCL) will partner with Bento Box Entertainment to generate these new NFT TV shows. BCL also launched Fox’s WWE “Moonsault” NFT market.
In a recent interview with CoinDesk, Fox stated that it would invest $100 million to make a strong “creative community” and promote a healthy “brand ecosystem.” The media giant referred to the use of this budget for the “benefits” of future NFT communities.
Recent details shows that Fox Entertainment will lauch its “Krapopolis” NFTs on the ETH blockchain. “Krapopolis” is set to release in the end of 2022, but Fox says it will disclose more information bout its NFT plans soon.
Scott Greenberg, co-founder and chief executive officer of Fox’s Bento Box Entertainment animation studio, will also serve as CEO of Blockchain Creative Labs.
