Arhead presents artworks in the Metaverse at ToDA’s new Digital Extravaganza exhibition

Arhead will present its Metaverse gallery, bringing a new dimension to immersive art with its upcoming Digital Extravaganza exhibition at the Theatre of Digital Art (ToDA) in Dubai from May 19th to August 31st, 2022.

Arhead, in collaboration with ToDA, will present Digital Extravaganza, their new immersive, multi-sensory exhibition, displaying more than 15 artworks by digital artists from across the world. The project will take place in the Theatre of Digital Art, located in Dubai, from May 19th. The exhibition will take visitors to unknown lands on Planet Earth and other galaxies through a Metaverse gallery, created especially for the exhibition by phygital platform Arhead. By fluidly moving between Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, MetaReality, AI and two-dimensional video, visitors can experience visual art from an enormous variety of perspectives.

5 established and 5 emerging digital artists from around the world will take part in this narrative exhibition. ToDA and Arhead will display more than 15 innovative artworks, including an apocalypse-horse in Jonathan Monaghan’s “Out of the Abyss”; a project dedicated to the solarpunk movement, “Eyra” by Synticate; “Afterlife” by Luna Ikuta, which explores genetic engineering; “Refuge / Refuse,” a project reflecting upon conspiracies in a futuristic world created by Arnaud Laffond; and DarkZuu’s “A special world: a friendly future,” presenting fairy creatures drawn by a child with special needs.

Innovative works by 4 renowned digital artists will be displayed alongside contemporary art by 10 artists shortlisted from hundreds of applications, all in response to ToDA’s international open call. For visitors who want a deeper dive into the world of these artworks, they will be minted as NFTs and transformed into 3D assets, ready for AR and ToDA’s Arhead-powered Metaverse space.

In addition, ToDA will also exhibit the first digital model of the museum  and a visualization of SYNTI, an artificial intelligence entity. This 3D holographic figure, powered by a language bot will discuss the exhibition and digital art with visitors.

“We invite visitors to imagine themselves as travelers on a multisensory narrative journey. Through the eyes of both established and emerging artists from across the world under a single roof, Arhead and ToDA will open the door to an unreal virtual space and the Metaverse world at our new exhibition,” — Alex Smaga, Arhead founder, commented.

Location: Theatre of Digital Art, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai
