Animoca Brands completes Mocaverse NFT mint; Achieves $5.5M sales volume in the first 48 Hours

Hong Kong gaming company Animoca Brands has announced the successful completion of Mocaverse’s MocaMint event. During the event, a total of 8,888 Mocaverse Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) were minted.

Mocaverse makes a splash

In the first 48 hours, the sales volume of Mocaverse NFTs reached 3,552 ETH, approximately $5.5 million, according to a statement by Animoca Brands.

Animoca Brands has launched the Mocaverse project with the goal of uniting the Web3 community by exchanging ideas, learning, connecting, playing games, and creating a better future for Web3.

The collection includes 8,888 NFTs called Mocas, which are categorized into five tribes representing diverse yet complementary personas of changemakers in Web3, namely Dreamers, Builders, Angels, Connectors, and Neo-Capitalists.

The Mocaverse NFT collection serves as the designated PFP NFT collection of Animoca Brands, embodying the collective principles and guiding philosophy of both Animoca Brands and its affiliated companies and collaborators. Owners of Mocaverse NFTs will gain exclusive access to a thoughtfully crafted Web3 experience featuring unique opportunities to learn, play, construct, and contribute in unison.

According to Yat Siu, Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Animoca Brands, the successful launch of Mocaverse marks a significant achievement for the company. Siu emphasized the strength of community and shared values in Web3, stating that Mocaverse NFTs serve as a gateway to the ever-growing Animoca Brands Web3 community.

He further noted that the NFTs are not only unique profile pictures but they also represent the company’s vision for the open metaverse.
