A group of global celebrities from the worlds of art, fashion, music, and film have been announced as judges for a competition to create 100 digital artworks that will be auctioned off as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to benefit amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.
The panel of judges includes supermodels Kendall Jenner and Kate Moss, music sensation J Balvin, renowned artist Jeff Koons, and acclaimed filmmaker Baz Luhrmann. Other members of the jury include Alexandre “Millinsky” Daillance (Project 100 co-founder and CMO), model-philanthropist Natalia Vodianova, South Korean DJ Peggy Gou, model Alton Mason, and streetwear designer Francesco Ragazzi.
The competition, which is being organized by Prospect 100, a digital platform designed to unveil the talents of lesser-known artists to elite curators, will run from now until July 9. Artists from around the world are invited to submit their original digital backgrounds, which will then be paired randomly with pre-designed characters by amfAR. The resulting 100 NFTs will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to support amfAR’s AIDS research initiatives.
The public will first vote on the designs through Prospect 100, with the finalists handpicked by the star-studded panel based on originality, meaning, and harmony with the aesthetics of amfAR’s characters.
This event marks a critical step towards a modern form of philanthropy, harnessing the power of digital art and blockchain technology. The fusion of high-profile personalities, unique artwork, and a noble cause symbolizes an innovative move, possibly paving the way for future fundraising initiatives in the digital age.
