Upland, a virtual real estate game, and Nowhere, a virtual gathering platform, have announced a partnership to create immersive metaverse cafes. The cafes will be located on geo-located properties within Upland’s virtual world, and will allow players to socialize, collaborate, and play games in a fully immersive 3D environment.

The Metaverse cafes will be available to all Upland players on iOS, Android, and the web. Players will be able to enter the cafes with their avatars, which they can outfit with digital wearables from an extensive library that includes designs from various Upland brand partners.
The cafes will offer a variety of features, including:
Spatial audio: Players will be able to hear each other’s voices in real time, creating a more immersive and engaging experience.
Live streaming: Players will be able to live stream presentations and events from within the cafes.
Content uploading: Players will be able to upload their own content, such as photos, videos, and 3D models, to the cafes.
Games: Players will be able to play a variety of games within the cafes.
Avatar customization: Players will be able to customize their avatars with a variety of digital wearables.
The metaverse cafes are the latest in a series of moves by Upland to expand its metaverse offerings. In March, Upland launched a new feature called “Metaventures,” which allows players to create and customize their own virtual worlds. In April, Upland partnered with the Bored Ape Yacht Club to launch a collection of NFTs that grant holders access to exclusive experiences in the Upland metaverse.
