Yuga Labs, the company behind the famous Bored Ape NFT collection, has made public its appointment of Mike Seavers as the incoming CTO (Chief Technology Officer). Effective from May 22, Seavers will take over from the current CTO and Co-Founder, Kerem Atalay, who will remain with the company in an advisory role.
Impressive track record
With more than two decades of experience as a technology and product leader, Mike Seavers has a formidable track record. He served as Executive Vice President of Development at Epic Games, where he spearheaded the development teams responsible for Unreal Engine and the Fortnite franchise.
Prior to that, Seavers held the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Riot Games, where he played a crucial role in supporting the development of popular titles like League of Legends and Valorant.
Aside from his extensive gaming background, Seavers has also created innovative platforms for several Fortune 500 companies.
Seavers has expressed his enthusiasm for the new position: “I am absolutely thrilled to join Yuga Labs to help usher in a new era of the internet that impacts the world for the better.”
